The D.C. area is home to many greater breweries, and is an exciting place to be for those who like beer.
As more and more young people get turned on to eating local food and supporting local businesses, it follows that they will soon afterward discover that imbibing beverages made by a local company will make for an experience orders or magnitude more satisfying than the traditional Natural Light binge. And satisfying not just in a moral or ethical sense, but satisfying for the pallet.
For local towns, cities and counties, the growth in local craft breweries is also a boon because these home-grown small businesses enhance the image of their area not just in the immediate region, but across the country and around the world. What state senator wouldn’t want muckety mucks from Germany smacking their lips after drinking a beverage with his hometown on it. It’s just good for business.
So I encourage you to jump on the craft beer bandwagon. I assure you, it’s not just for hipsters anymore.
